Activating an Inventory Device

FlexNet Manager Suite 2019 R2 (On-Premises Edition)

You can activate an ignored inventory device when you want FlexNet Manager Suite to manage it. Once you activate a device, FlexNet Manager Suite starts collecting inventory data for it.

To activate an inventory device:

1. From the Ignored Inventory page, select the inventory record that you wish to activate.
2. Click Activate.
   FlexNet Manager Suite displays a pop-up to confirm the activation.
3. Click OK to activate the inventory device.
   FlexNet Manager Suite displays the "The selected inventory record was activated successfully" message. The selected record disappears from the Ignored Inventory page and appears on the Active Inventory page.

   Note: Until you link this device record to an asset record, it would also appear on the Inventory Without Assets page. For more information about linking assets, see Linking an Inventory Record to an Asset Record.
