Allocated

FlexNet Manager Suite 2019 R2 (On-Premises Edition)

This is the total number of allocations copied from the Consumption tab (where it displays at the bottom of the table in the Allocation type column) and shown here for convenience. What the allocations really measure is determined by the license type. For example:

  • For user-based licenses, this is the number of individual users to whom entitlements under this license have been allocated. These users may typically use the software on multiple different computers (such as a desktop and a notebook), as long as they are the appropriate user for each of those machines.
  • For device-based licenses, this is the number of computers to which entitlements have been allocated.
  • For points-based licenses (such as Core Points or Processor Points licenses), this is the total number of points consumed by the computers to which entitlements have been allocated.
  • When the CAL consumption mode is set to Usage, this property shows the total number of allocations. If you have manually edited the value of the Overridden consumption property (see Overridden Consumption), this property reflects that value.
Note: When the CAL consumption mode is set to Access, a CAL is consumed for all users or devices in the enterprise.

This total of all allocations is updated at each compliance calculation.

Tip: If you make changes to allocations (on the Consumption tab) now, the total is updated here when you click Save.
