FlexNet Manager Suite 2019 R2 (On-Premises Edition)

The Discovery group, located under the Discovery & Inventory menu, contains features related to the discovery of devices in your network. These features help you identify all the IT resources in the entire production environment. The discovered device records are created after the inventory data is imported into FlexNet Manager Suite. In addition to the devices discovered through the exercise of discovery and inventory rules, FlexNet Manager Suite also creates discovered device records for the inventory records (from any source) that did not previously have a matching discovery record with the following exceptions:

• Computers with a blank name
• Remote devices, mobile devices, and VDI templates
• Manually-created inventory records for which no inventory data has been reported by the inventory collection process.
