Display Notes

A database instance was discovered but was not running at inventory time. Please check whether the instance should be running.

The FlexNet inventory agent collects Oracle Database inventory only from running database instances. If possible, configure the instance to be running at your next inventory collection time.

Failed to find an OS user to take inventory of the Oracle Database instance.

This rare error may occur when a discovered listener is running as root. This condition prevents further attempts to find an alternative user account to impersonate, and terminates Oracle inventory gathering.

Failed to execute the Oracle database query command: The agent will not run Oracle executables as the root user.

This case should be impossible, since Oracle does not normally allow operation of a database instance by the root user. However, if it happens in your environment, the collection of Oracle Database inventory is terminated.
