Activity Checks

FlexNet Manager Suite 2020 R2 (On-Premises)

The activity checks functionality replicates the checks that SAP now makes in the USMM system measurement to guard against fraud. Using activity checks, you can identify possible usage issues and remedy them.

If you do not use the Staging Database Monitor to remotely launch the USMM and collect activity checks data, you must use the Activity Checks feature if you want to collect activity checks data from dependent SAP systems. As a prerequisite to using the Activity Checks feature, the Satellite transport must be installed on the corresponding SAP systems. The activity checks data that is generated using the Activity Checks feature is automatically added to the staging database on the SAP Admin module. The SAP Inventory Agent can connect to this staging database and load the data into the FlexNet Manager Suite database.

If you want to collect activity check data from a dependent system that runs SAP Basis release 4.6C, 6.2, or 6.4, you must start the data collection using the Activity Checks menu in the SAP Admin module.

The results of activity checks are used for analyzing and managing indirect access data for SAP user accounts. In particular, the data from the activity checks Work Time and Multiple Logons is analyzed. For more information, see SAP User Accounts Evidence.
