Data Collection Status

FlexNet Manager Suite 2020 R2 (On-Premises)

Use the Staging Database Monitor - Data collection status screen to verify if the data collection from the dependent SAP systems was successful.

If errors occur (yellow or red status), review the staging database logs for more information (see Staging Database Logs).

Table 1. Status of data collection from dependent SAP systems in the Staging Database Monitor
Option Description
System ID The dependent SAP systems from which the data was collected.
Client The client from which the data was collected.
User The user who executed the data collection.
Start date The date when the data collection was launched.
Start time The time when the data collection was launched.
System status The system details are always collected online, regardless of whether the option Run online or Run with "IN BACKGROUND TASK" was selected in the Staging Database Monitor screen.

Available values:

  • Green: The system could be reached, and the system details have been collected successfully.
  • Red: The system could not be reached, or system details could not be collected. This can be due to an incorrect RFC destination, insufficient user authorizations, or other errors.
System end time The time when the data collection was completed.
USMM status Available values:
  • cog icon: Execution of the USMM is ongoing.
  • Green: The USMM was executed. The resulting data is stored in SAP standard tables on the dependent SAP systems.
  • Red: The USMM could not be executed successfully. Ensure that the RFC user has sufficient authorizations to execute the USMM.
If the check box Launch USMM remotely in the Staging Database Monitor screen was not selected, this field is blank.
USMM data end time The time when the data collection using the USMM was completed. Some USMM processes are launched as jobs and therefore might take longer to complete.
User data status Available values:
  • cog icon: Data collection is ongoing. The cog icon is only displayed when the Staging Database Monitor is run with the option Run with "IN BACKGROUND TASK".
  • Green: User data collection was successful.
  • Yellow: A non-critical error has occured.
  • Red: User data collection failed. Ensure that the user has appropriate authorizations.
User end time Indicates when collection of user data was completed. If data collection failed, the time is 00:00:00.
Role data status
Available values:
  • cog icon: Data collection is ongoing. The cog icon is only displayed when the Staging Database Monitor is run with the option Run with "IN BACKGROUND TASK".
  • Green: Role data collection was successful.
  • Yellow: A non-critical error has occured.
  • Red: Role data collection failed.
Role data end time Indicates when collection of role data was completed. If data collection failed, the time is 00:00:00.
Object data status
Available values:
  • cog icon: Data collection is ongoing. The cog icon is only displayed when the Staging Database Monitor is run with the option Run with "IN BACKGROUND TASK".
  • Green: Object data collection was successful.
  • Yellow: A non-critical error has occured.
  • Red: Object data collection failed.
Object data end time Indicates when collection of object data was completed. If data collection failed, the time is 00:00:00.
License data status
Available values:
  • cog icon: Data collection is ongoing. The cog icon is only displayed when the Staging Database Monitor is run with the option Run with "IN BACKGROUND TASK".
  • Green: License data collection was successful.
  • Yellow: A non-critical error has occured.
  • Red: License data collection failed.
License data end time Indicates when collection of license data was completed. If data collection failed, the time is 00:00:00.
Package data status
Available values:
  • cog icon: Data collection is ongoing. The cog icon is only displayed when the Staging Database Monitor is run with the option Run with "IN BACKGROUND TASK".
  • Green: Package data collection was successful.
  • Yellow: A non-critical error has occured.
  • Red: Package data collection failed.
Package data end time Indicates when collection of package data was completed. If data collection failed, the time is 00:00:00.
Activity-checks data status
Available values:
  • cog icon: Data collection is ongoing. The cog icon is only displayed when the Staging Database Monitor is run with the option Run with "IN BACKGROUND TASK".
  • Green: Activity-checks data collection was successful.
  • Yellow: A non-critical error has occured.
  • Red: Activity-checks data collection failed. For systems running SAP Basis release 4.6C, 6.2, or 6.4, the Staging Dabase Monitor always returns a red status. For these systems, activity-checks data must be collected using the Activity Checks menu.
Activity data endtime Indicates when collection of activity-checks data was completed. If data collection failed, the time is 00:00:00.
Consumption data status
Available values:
  • cog icon: Data collection is ongoing. The cog icon is only displayed when the Staging Database Monitor is run with the option Run with "IN BACKGROUND TASK".
  • Green: Consumption data collection was successful.
  • Yellow: A non-critical error has occured.
  • Red: Consumption data collection failed.
Consumption end time Indicates when collection of consumption data was completed. If data collection failed, the time is 00:00:00.
Module data status
Available values:
  • cog icon: Data collection is ongoing. The cog icon is only displayed when the Staging Database Monitor is run with the option Run with "IN BACKGROUND TASK".
  • Green: Module data collection was successful.
  • Yellow: A non-critical error has occured.
  • Red: Module data collection failed.
Module data end time Indicates when collection of module data was completed. If data collection failed, the time is 00:00:00.
RFC data status
Available values:
  • cog icon: Data collection is ongoing. The cog icon is only displayed when the Staging Database Monitor is run with the option Run with "IN BACKGROUND TASK".
  • Green: RFC data collection was successful.
  • Yellow: A non-critical error has occured.
  • Red: RFC data collection failed.
RFC data end time Indicates when collection of RFC data was completed. If data collection failed, the time is 00:00:00.
