Deleting an Exchange Rate Set

FlexNet Manager Suite 2020 R2 (On-Premises)
You can only delete an exchange rate set when:
  1. It is visible in the web interface (that is, by default it is one of the 90 most recent sets of exchange rates, or see Exchange Rates for notes about changing that default); and
  2. It is not in use (that is, not referenced by any money field anywhere in your records); and
  3. It is not the Standard Rate.
To help identify candidates, the trash can icon for an exchange rate set is greyed out (insensitive) in the Currency Settings tab of the System Defaults page if the set is currently in use, and cannot be deleted. However, since there is no practical way in the web interface to find all the fields linked to a particular exchange rate set, deleting is only practical if you discover some reason to remove the exchange rate set before it is brought into use, or at least you can remember where it was used.

To delete an unused exchange rate set:

  1. Navigate to the system menu ( in the top right corner) > System Defaults, and select the Exchange Rates tab.
  2. Identify the exchange rate set in the list, and click the trash can icon shown towards its right-hand end.
A confirmation message appears to ensure that deleting the exchange rate set is your intention.
  3. Click OK.
A 'success' message displays at the top of the compliance browser.
Tip: This means that the system has made an attempt to delete the exchange rate set. If the exchange rate set is not in use anywhere in the system, it is in fact deleted. However, if it is in use, the exchange rate set persists. Refreshing this page may now show it with a disabled trash can icon.
