Ignoring License-Type Recommendations

FlexNet Manager Suite 2021 R1.3 (On-Premises)

When you reject or overwrite a license-type recommendation in the Process License Recommendations report, you can select to ignore the recommendations.

To ignore a license-type recommendation:

1. Run a Process License Recommendations report (see Creating a Process License Recommendations Report), and select the user or users for whom you want to ignore recommendations.
2. Click Reject or Overwrite. For more information on these options, see Rejecting License-Type Recommendations and Overwriting License-Type Recommendations, respectively.
   Depending on your selection, the Ignore Recommendation or Overwrite Recommendation dialog displays.
3. In the Reason field, enter a reason for rejection or overwriting the recommendation. If you selected Overwrite in step 2, enter a new license type.
4. Select from the following options to specify whether future recommendations for this user should be ignored:
   • Ignore indefinitely — This is the default setting. All future recommendations will be ignored indefinitely.
   • Ignore until — Enter a date to indicate until when recommendations should be ignored.
   • Do not ignore — Select this option if recommendations should not be ignored in the future.
5. Click OK.
