Exporting spend data to Unified Spend Analytics

FlexNet Manager Suite version 2019 R2 (requires 14.0.1)

Note: For on-premises implementations, Unified Spend Analytics was made available in a FlexNet Manager Suite 2019 R2 special feature release on December 31, 2019 in the Product and License Center as FlexNet Manager Suite Update 2019R2-02.

FlexNet Manager Suite now supports exporting spend data to Flexera's Unified Spend Analytics. Unified Spend Analytics is a common dashboard available to Flexera customers. At a glance, the Unified Spend Analytics dashboard shows how much your organization is spending on Information Technology components, from which you can easily identify where spending is greatest, and with which vendors. You can also monitor the changing composition of that spend over time. This feature is available in the Unified Spend Analytics section (on the Integrations tab of the System Settings page).

The following data is exported from FlexNet Manager Suite:
  • All purchase orders linked to software licenses
  • All purchase orders linked to hardware assets.

The prerequisites that must be met in order to export spend data to Unified Spend Analytics are as follows:

  • An OAuth token must be obtained to allow exporting of data from FlexNet Manager Suite to Unified Spend Analytics.
  • An updated license file must be obtained and installed in FlexNet Manager Suite.
  • A FlexNet Manager Suite administrator must configure settings within the Unified Spend Analytics section on the Integrations tab (of the System Settings page).
Note: The processes for obtaining a license file and OAuth token are evolving. Initially, contact Flexera Support. For the latest information about these processes, refer to the Configuring FlexNet Manager Suite to export spend data to Unified Spend Analytics article, located in the Flexera Community. For on-premises implementations, a new license file and a script to generate the OAuth token will be provided to you when you contact Flexera Support, and then you must install the license file and paste the OAuth token in the Token field in the Unified Spend Analytics section on the Integrations tab (of the System Settings page).

For more information, refer to the System Settings: Integrations Tab section of the online help.
