Every person who uses FlexNet Manager Suite must be assigned to a role. Everyone within a particular role can access the same area of product functionality. Roles available by default include:
  • The Administrators role can create new accounts to access FlexNet Manager Suite in any role. People in this role can also access all areas of product functionality.
  • Operators can access all areas of product functionality, but they cannot create accounts, nor assign an account to a role (including changing roles).
  • View Only users cannot access System Settings, Inventory, or Enterprise groups, but can access all remaining areas of the product. However, their access is limited to read-only mode for all data: they cannot create or edit records. They can manipulate lists through column choice, filtering, sorting, and so on to suit their preferences.
