Issue: Red error bar

FlexNet Manager Suite 2022 R2 (On-Premises)


A red error bar appears at the top of a page loading in the web interface for FlexNet Manager Suite. This contains the following text:
An error has occurred on this page; you may need to refresh the page.


These errors are usually minor and may be temporary, and most often relate to the presentation of the page in your web browser. The message also includes an Error ID which may be used for further trouble-shooting, or for reporting to the Support team at Flexera.


You may try the following:
  • As described in the error message, you may try refreshing the web browser page, which may be sufficient to clear the error.
  • You may check for further details about the error ID by asking your system administrator for a copy of the log file saved in %PROGRAMDATA%\Flexera Software\Compliance\Logging\WebUI\webui.log on your application server (in larger implementations that have multiple servers, this log file is on the web application server). Older log files have a time-stamp added to the file name, and you should check the log file corresponding to the day when the error occurred. Searching for the matching error ID displayed in the red error bar provides additional context.
  • Have one of your support Entitlement Contacts to raise a case asking the Support team at Flexera for further information. Be sure to copy the Error ID value from the red error bar and paste it into your support case, and attach the relevant webui.log file.
