Setting the status of the Import detailed evidence flag

FlexNet Manager Suite 2022 R2 (On-Premises)

Setting the status of the Import detailed evidence flag to Enabled, includes selected application(s) in the Application Transparency report and causes additional detailed information to be saved in the inventory database. This allows you to configure an Exemption by file path on the linked license so that selected application(s) do not consume separate license entitlements (see Exemptions for Embedded Products).

Tip: If this software is a suite with member applications, import of detailed evidence applies equally to this record and to each of the member applications.

If you do not want to include selected application(s) in the Application Transparency report, set the status to Disabled.

To set the status of the Import detailed evidence flag:

  1. Navigate to any of the following:
    • License Compliance > All Applications
    • License Compliance > Installed Applications
    • License Compliance > Unmanaged Applications
    • License Compliance > Managed Applications
    • License Compliance > Deferred Applications
    • License Compliance > Ignored Applications
  2. On navigating to any of the aforementioned pages, the Import detailed evidence button is disabled by default. To enable the button, select the corresponding application check box for any of the applications listed in the grid and then click Import detailed evidence.
  3. Select one of the two options: Disabled or Enabled. To view the status of the Import detailed evidence flag for an application, open the corresponding Application Properties page.
