Containers Tab

FlexNet Manager Suite 2022 R2 (On-Premises)

For Applications tab under Remote Device Properties, see Applications Tab.

The Containers tab lists the Docker containers that have been identified on this device, including their latest status.

You can click on the Image ID to view the Container Image Properties page.

This page displays the following columns (listed alphabetically). Some columns are displayed by default and others can be displayed through the column chooser. To manage columns and other UI options, see the topics under Managing Columns in a Table.

Table 1. Containers tab details
Field Description

Displays the Docker CMD instruction that was specified for the container.

Container ID

Unique identifier of the container. (Where the row displays either an image or a pod for which there is no container, this value remains blank.)

Displays the Docker ENTRYPOINT instruction that was specified for the container.

Image ID

Unique identifier of the image.

Last used date

For any containers with the Status = Running, the Last used date shows the most recent date that a reconcile occurred. When the container is not Running, the Last used date displays the date that the container stopped running.

The items referenced in this row, displayed by default as a hierarchy tree. The hierarchy depends on whether this row reflects an environment managed by Docker Engine or Kubernetes. For Docker Engine:
  • Container host
  • Image
  • Container.
For Kubernetes:
  • Kubernetes cluster
  • Container host (the Kubernetes worker node)
  • Kubernetes pod
  • Image
  • Container.
Information in the tree can be expanded or contracted by clicking on the + or - controls next to each name.
Tip: Doing a search or filter on the table flattens the hierarchy into a simple list of results.
Repository tags
The repository tag(s) of this container or image. Tags typically identify different versions of a Docker image. This value is only populated when the Type is:
  • Image — displays any repository tags associated with this image
  • Container — the repository tag for the image used to launch this container, which is most often the same as the tag associated with the image, but may be different where one of multiple tags was selected.
Displays the last reported status for either a Docker container, or a Kubernetes pod. May be any of:
  • Created
  • Dead
  • Exited
  • Failed (available only within a Kubernetes cluster)
  • Paused
  • Pending (available only within a Kubernetes cluster)
  • Removing
  • Restarting
  • Running
  • Succeeded (available only within a Kubernetes cluster)
  • Unknown.
