Deleting an Asset

FlexNet Manager Suite 2023 R1 (On-Premises)

You can delete different types of assets from FlexNet Manager Suite: for example, computer hardware and furniture items, as well as routers, switches, and other asset records.

Tip: While you can delete an asset record, this technique is usually reserved for correcting the data entry errors. It is generally best practices with correctly-recorded assets to change their status to Disposed. Doing so removes them from many of the asset reports, but ensures that historical records of the assets remain available for audit purposes.

To delete an asset record:

1. Open the Hardware Assets menu.
2. Click one of the following:
   • All Assets
   • Device Assets without Inventory
   • Changed Device Assets
   • Device Assets
   • Non-Device Assets
   • Asset Lease Expiry
   • Asset Warranty Expiry
3. Select an asset to be deleted, and click Delete.
