Deallocate Licenses from an Inventory Device

The Licenses tab of the Inventory Device Properties (or Remote Device Properties) page enables you to deallocate existing licenses from an inventory (or remote) device. After deallocation, the device loses its reservation on the license(s).

To deallocate licenses from an inventory device

1. Navigate to Discovery & Inventory > All Inventory. Click the inventory device from which you need to deallocate licenses.
2. On the Inventory Device Properties page, click the Licenses tab.
3. Select the allocated license(s) that you need to deallocate by clicking the corresponding check box. The Allocation type drop-down list displays the license allocation status.
4. Click Deallocate to deallocate the selected license(s) from the inventory device.
   Note: When multiple license records are selected, the Deallocate button is enabled only when at least one of the selected records has the Allocation type property set to any value other than Unallocated.
5. Click Save.
