SWIDTAG Evidence can now be obtained from the IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT)

FlexNet Manager Suite version 2024 R2.5

Starting with this release, the IBM License Metric Tool (ILMT) on IBM DB2 and the ILMT SQL Reader have been updated to allow FlexNet Manager Suite to collect SWIDTAG evidence directly from ILMT. This enhancement helps resolve discrepancies in application recognition in FlexNet Manager Suite when compared with HCL BigFix Inventory.

Two key changes support the creation of SWIDTAG based file evidence and installer evidence in FlexNet Manager Suite:

• For file evidence, data will be retrieved from the isotag_facts_scd and agt_vm_rel tables.
• For installer evidence, the [sam].isotags table will be queried to obtain values for the Display Name, Version, and Publisher properties.

SWIDTAG file and installer evidence gathered from the ILMT will be visible in the File Evidence and Installer Evidence tabs on the All Evidence page, which lists all file and installation data detected across your environment and included in the Application Recognition Library.
