Configuration to Reduce Processing Time

Flexera Integration app v5.0.8 added a configuration to further reduce the processing time by giving you to the option to not populate the x_fls_flexera_fnms_normalized_software_instances table as long as the Integrate Flexera Models/Installations in ServiceNow Native tables option is enabled (set to Yes on the Integration Properties page).

Flexera Integration app v5.0.8 updates the default behavior of property x_fls_flexera_fnms.populate_native_option to disable integration software records into the Flexera custom table x_fls_flexera_fnms_normalized_software_instance.

Note:With this change, Flexera software records are only integrated into table cmdb_sam_sw_install.

You can override this behavior by updating the system property x_fls_flexera_fnms.populate_normalize_software_instance_table value to true. (Default value is false.) When this system property is enabled (value = true) together with the native table integration option, software records will be integrated into both tables cmdb_sam_sw_install and x_fls_flexera_fnms_normalized_software_instance.

Updating Flexera Integration Property x_fls_flexera_fnms.populate_normalize_software_instance_table

This section describes how to override a Flexera Integration property. In this case, the example shows how to update the Value field in the x_fls_flexera_fnms.populate_normalize_software_instance_table property To ensure records will be integrated into both tables cmdb_sam_sw_install and x_fls_flexera_fnms_normalized_software_instance

The Flexera Integration app v5.0.8 updates the default behavior of property x_fls_flexera_fnms.populate_native_option to disable integration software records into the Flexera custom table x_fls_flexera_fnms_normalized_software_instance.

The following steps describe how to override this behavior so that software record will be integrated into both tables cmdb_sam_sw_install and x_fls_flexera_fnms_normalized_software_instance.

To ensure records will be integrated into both tables cmdb_sam_sw_install and x_fls_flexera_fnms_normalized_software_instance

1. In the ServiceNow filter navigator, enter sys_properties.list and press Enter.

2. On the System Properties page, in the Search box, enter x_fls_flexera_fnms.populate_normalize_software_instance_table and press Enter.
3. In the resulting list, click the x_fls_flexera_fnms.populate_normalize_software_instance_table record.
