Upgrading the Flexera Integration Application from the ServiceNow Store

Important:Before you upgrade using the steps in this section, you must perform the required steps described in the How to upgrade to the Flexera Integration App 5.0.854 knowledge base article available in the Flexera Community.

The steps in this section provide steps for a upgrading the Flexera Integration application from the ServiceNow store. For information about a first time installation of the application, refer to Installing the Flexera Integration Application from the ServiceNow Store.

Important:Installation/Upgrade of the Flexera scoped app is only supported when the deployment is done via the ServiceNow app store. If you need to migrate from one of the following environments, contact Flexera Support.

FlexNet Manager Suite for Enterprises (any version)
Flexera Integration prior to 5.0.2
BDNA Normalize for ServiceNow
BDNA Technopedia Catalog for ServiceNow

To update the Flexera Integration application from the ServiceNow store:

1. Before you upgrade using the steps in this section, you must perform the required steps described in the How to upgrade to the Flexera Integration App 5.0.854 knowledge base article available in the Flexera Community.
2. Ensure you have followed Step 1 to perform required steps described in the How to upgrade to the Flexera Integration App 5.0.854 knowledge base article available on the Flexera Community and then log into the ServiceNow Store (where the Flexera Integration app is already installed from the ServiceNow store that you wish to upgrade).
3. In the Filter navigator, enter System Applications, and then under System Applications, click Applications.

The Applications list appears.

4. In the search, enter Flexera Integration.

The Flexera Integration application appears in the list.

5. In the drop down next to the Update button, ensure the latest release is selected.
6. Click the Update button.

The Application installation sub-screen appears. Click Update again.

The upgrade will begin.

7. After the upgrade finishes, to ensure that Flexera customers have the best experience possible, you must manually run the "Fix Script" (named FlexNetManagerSuite_Upgrade) using the instructions provided here. Running this script after upgrading the application will make certain that new capabilities and features added in this release will be activated and available for use. Do the following:
a. Use Application Picker to select Flexera Integration.

b. In the Filter navigator, enter Fix Script.
c. Select FlexNetManagerSuite_Upgrade.

d. Click the Run Fix Script button.

e. Click the Proceed in Background button.

f. Click Close to close the dialog that tells you Fix Scripts are running in the background.
