Package Automation Options / Monitored Directory

Edition:Application Manager is included with AdminStudio Professional and Enterprise Editions.

The following properties are listed on the Monitored Directory tab.

Monitored Directory Tab

Properties

Description

Directory Name

(General)

Enter the required name of the directory.

Shared Directory

(General)

Enter the path or click the browse button (...) to browse to the path.

Destination Group

(General)

By clicking the browse button (...), the Select Destination Group dialog box opens. Enter name of the group and click Ok.

Note:Nested groups can be created.

Click Create subgroup based on source folder structure check box, if you want to create subgroups in the folder structure. Click OK button to exit the dialog box.

Authentication Type

(General)

Select one of the following type:

Server Authentication— Choose to use server login identification for authentication.
Windows Authentication— Choose to use Windows network authentication (your network login ID) to log into this Application Catalog.
Username and Password— If you choose Server Authentication, enter the appropriate Username and Password.

Workflow

(General)

Select the configured workflow from the drop down list.

Copy Actions

(Alternate Location)

Choose one of the following action type:

Not Required— No action will be taken. Applications will be imported from the Shared Directory.
Copy to Alternate Directory— Copies the application from the Shared Directory to the New Directory in the Alternate Location for import.
Move to Alternate Directory— Moves the application from the Shared Directory to the New Directory in the Alternate Location, fully transferring it for import.

Note:If the Not Required action is selected, the New Directory and Authentication Type fields will be disabled.

New Directory

(Alternate Location)

Enter the path or click the ellipses (...) to browse and select the path.

Authentication Type

(Alternate Location)

Select one of the following type:

Server Authentication— Choose to use server login identification for authentication.
Windows Authentication— Choose to use Windows network authentication (your network login ID) to log into this Application Catalog.
Username and Password— If you choose Server Authentication, enter the appropriate Username and Password.

Include for scheduled automation

Select this check box to include the directory for the scheduled automation.

Test Connection

Click to validate the Monitored Directory connection information.

Execute

Click to execute the packages in the Monitored Directory.
