Setting the NT Service Type

To set the NT service type:

1.

Select NT Services from the checklist. The NT Services View opens.

2.

Double-click the current Service Type value in the properties grid to access the drop-down menu.

3.

Select the desired Start Type from the following possible values:

•

Service that Runs in its Own Process

•

Service that Shares a Process with Others

4.

Optional: click the current Interact with Desktop value in the properties grid to access the drop-down menu and specify whether the service needs to interact with the desktop.
