Configuring Operations

For ServiceNow and BMC integration, default operations are created and configured automatically when you click the Create Default Operations button on the Site Management > Settings > ServiceNow or 3rd-Party Integration views. However, you may choose to customize/configure these operations for your organization.

Note:Before you can configure the Request_Submit_Service operation for a BMC Remedy service request, you are required to first obtain a SRD (Service Request Definition) Template from BMC. For instructions, see Obtaining a SRD (Service Request Definition) Template for a BMC Remedy Service Request.

If you are integrating with an ITSM system other than ServiceNow or Remedy, you will need to manually create the required operations.

You perform both of these tasks on the Configure Operation view.
