List of Notification Email Templates and Messages

On the Site Management > Communication > Notifications view, email templates and system messages are listed on four tabs: Global, Software, General, License Reclamation, and Flexible Approval.

Application Survey - Current PC |
This text is displayed on the App Survey tab; it explains how the user can complete the survey to identify the applications that they want to have redeployed onto their current computer using System Center Configuration Manager OSD. |

This text is displayed on the App Survey tab; it explains how to restore selected applications onto a new computer. |

This is the template for an email notification that is sent out when a user cancels an App Portal request before it is completed. |

My Apps - Action Alert Text |
This text is displayed to the user on the My Current Alerts subtab of the My Apps tab when an administrator has created an Alert Action catalog item that applies to one of the user’s installed applications. For example: Action Alert: You are required to perform an action Uninstall Blacklisted Software for Calculator 6.1. To perform this action, click here. Note:Alert Action catalog items are a specialized type of catalog item that uses FlexNet Manager Suite application recognition and licensing data to identify installed application/device combinations that need attention, such as unused applications, unlicensed applications, or applications targeted for another reason. App Portal then sends out alerts to the identified device owners to prompt them to take action to resolve the issues. |

This text is displayed to the user on the My Resolved Alerts subtab of the My Apps tab when an Alert Action was responded to. |

OSD - Unknown Computer Build |
When you attempt to deploy an operating system to a computer that is not built yet, App Portal displays this message to you to identify the build ID of the operating system. When you are ready to deploy the operating system to the computer, you would use this build number. |

This email notification is sent out when the installation of a catalog item has failed. This email identifies the package title, request ID, requester, and target machine. |

This email notification is sent out when the installation of a catalog item has been completed successfully. This email identifies the package title, request ID, requester, and target machine. |

Software - Lease Expiring |
This email notification is sent out when a license lease for a software package is about to expire. This email identifies the package title, license expiration date, and target machine. |

Note:This notification is no longer used. It was replaced by the Software/General Catalog Item Request Order notification, which is the template for an email notification that is sent out to the requester when either a Software or General catalog item has been requested. |

Software - Request Approved - Auto Delivery |
This email notification is sent out to a requester after their request for a catalog item has been approved and the Allow scheduling immediately after approval? option is selected on the General > Global tab of the Catalog Item Properties dialog box for the requested catalog item. This email states that the catalog item will be automatically installed. |

Software - Request Approved - Manual Delivery |
This email notification is sent out to a requester after their request for a catalog item has been approved. This email prompts the user to click the Install icon to submit an installation request. |

This email notification is sent out to an approver after a requester has requested a software catalog item which requires approval. This email prompts the approver to either Approve or Reject the request. It also provides a link that enables the approver to review the data that was submitted when the catalog item was requested. |

This email notification is sent out to a requester after their request for a catalog item has been rejected. This email lists the reason for the rejection and the approver who rejected the request. |

License Reclamation Note:These notifications are only used if managing licenses using System Center Configuration Manager. If using FlexNet Manager Suite, license information is displayed on the My Apps tab. |
License Reclamation - ARP Entry only |
This email notification is sent to a user to ask them whether they still require a software application that is installed on their machine, and to inform the user that they have a mechanism to automatically uninstall the application. The user is prompted to either uninstall at a later date, uninstall automatically, or keep the software. |

This email notification is sent to a user after they have indicated that they would like to keep a software application, and prompts them to click a button to confirm that they want to keep the software. |

Flexible Approval Note:These notifications are used for flexible approval functionality that enables flexibility for an approver to take approve or reject actions outside the enterprise network and without logging into App Portal. |
Flexible Approval - Approval Keywords |
This template is not sent to approvers. Instead, it is used to define approval keywords for use in the General and Software subtab Request for Approval templates. Out of the box, Approved is displayed. Multiple keywords can be added, with comma separators. Special characters should not be added. The content in this notification template body replaces the variable ##APPROVALKEYWORDS## available in the Flexible Approval - Keyword Information email template. |

Flexible Approval - Generic Acknowledgement |
This email notification template is sent to an approver when the current user is not the approver or when the approval level is already processed. |

This email notification template is not sent to an approver. Instead, the content in this notification body replaces the variable ##EMAILAPPROVALPLACEHOLDER## in the General and Software subtab Request for Approval templates. |

This email notification template is not sent to an approver. Instead, this notification displays MAILTO links for Approve and Reject as variables ##MAILTOAPPROVE##, ##MAILTOREJECT##. This template is embedded into the Flexible Approval - Keyword Information notification template as variable ##EMAILAPPROVALMAILTOLINKS## and is resolved to show the Approve and Reject links. |

Flexible Approval - No Response Acknowledgment Mail |
This email notification template is sent to an approver when the approver approves or rejects the request with invalid keywords (e.g., keywords that have not been defined in the Flexible Approval - Approval Keywords or Flexible Approval - Reject Keywords notification templates). |

Flexible Approval - Question Template Acknowledgment |
This email notification is sent to an approver when the approver approves or rejects a request that contains a question template that has approver questions to answer. Here, the approver has to login to the App Portal website to perform the approval or rejection action after answering the questions. |

This email notification template is sent to the approver when the approver tries to approve or reject a request that has already been approved. |

This template will not be sent to approver and this notification is used to configure the standard rejection comments, when user does not enter any comments during email reply with Reject keyword, the system will set this reasons Out of the box and displays in the Notes tab of request details dialog in My Request page. |
