Roles

On the Roles view, which is opened by selecting Deployment Management > Roles, all roles that have been created are listed.

Roles View

The Roles view includes the following properties and buttons.

Roles View Properties

Property

Description

Role

Name of role. Double-click on this role name to edit its properties on the Role Properties dialog box. On the Role Properties dialog box, you can also delete the role.

Condition Count

Number of conditions defined on the Conditions tab of the Role Properties dialog box for this role. Conditions are used to determine which users the role applies to.

Variable Count

Number of variables defined on the Variables tab of the Role Properties dialog box for this role.

The Variables tab is used to define System Center Configuration Manager task sequence variables that would be assigned to the source, destination, or both computers as part of the System Center Configuration Manager OSD process.

Application Count

Number of applications selected on the Applications tab of the Role Properties dialog box for this role.

USMT Configured

Whether or not a USMT profile has been configured on the USMT Profiles tab of the Role Properties dialog box for this role.

The USMT Profiles tab is used to define parameters to be used during the System Center Configuration Manager OSD process when performed with USMT (Microsoft User State Migration Tool). These parameters will be passed to the System Center Configuration Manager task sequence.
