Description

Threshold To Detect Usage nn Days of No Usage

Determines whether the license will be submitted for reclamation automatically after the notification duration has exceeded and there is no response from the user.

Enable License Reclamation (Requires Uninstall Program)

Select to active License Reclamation. The request must be linked to an Inventory Group to enable License Reclamation. If the Inventory Groups does not include a Metering Rule, then the License reclamation will use all users who have the software installed regardless of usage.

Require manual approval for license reclamation actions

Determines whether manual approval is required for license reclamation.

Enable Email Notifications

Determines whether emails should be sent for this reclamation instance. Do not select this option if you want the un-installation to happen silently.

Notification frequency: x day(s)

Determines notification frequency.

Notification duration: x day(s)

Determines notification duration. The duration is the limit where the software will be uninstalled automatically if Auto-reclaim unanswered requests are selected.

Require explanation for keeping or removing license

Determines whether the user needs to enter an explanation on why they need to keep the software.

Send email notification to user

Determines whether the user should receive the email notification.

Send email notification to manager

Determines whether the user’s manager (if specified in Active Directory) should receive the email notification.

On uninstall response

Select one of the following options:

Review uninstall request—When a user responds that they will allow the uninstall; this result will be stored in the license reclamation campaign for administrative review. No action will be taken to remove the software unless manually done by an administrator.
Automatically submit uninstall request—When a user responds that they will allow the uninstall, App Portal will create an uninstall request for that user’s computer.

Auto-reclaim unanswered requests

Determines whether the software is submitted for un-installation automatically after the notification duration has exceeded and there is no response from the user.

Includes requests without an associated user

Determines if the license should be auto-reclaimed even if there is no user associated with the machine.

Enable Reclamation Archiving

Archiving allows a user to be considered a target for reclamation after a previous reclamation has completed. If a user responds with a “keep” response they will receive a notification again after the specified period of days elapses and they have still not used the software. If the user responds with an “uninstall” and later installs the program again and does not use it, they will receive a notification again after the specified period of days elapses and they have still not used the software.

Archive responses after x days

Determines the period of time that must elapse before reconsidering a previously completed reclamation action for reevaluation.
