Creating a New Catalog Item with Classification (Advanced)
Note:Classification property is only displayed for General, Software and Cloud types of catalog in the wizard. Classification is not shown for Task Sequence, OSD, Group and Mobile catalogs. Classification property is only shown if the global setting under Settings > Website > Catalog Classification is checked
An example of associating a classification using General Catalog is explained in the steps mentioned below. Classification can also be associated to Software and Cloud types of catalog. To create a new general catalog item with classification using the multi-tabbed New Catalog Item Properties dialog box, perform the following steps.
To create a new general catalog item with classification using the New Catalog Item Properties dialog box:
1. | Open the Admin tab, and click Catalog Management. |
2. | Under Create New Catalog Item, click New General Catalog Item. |
The General > Global tab of the New Catalog Item Properties dialog box opens.
3. | On the General > Global tab of the New Catalog Item Properties dialog box, select the Classification drop-down and select a classification for this catalog item. |

4. | Select any other desired properties on the General tab, as described in General Tab. |
5. | Open the Title & Description subtab of the General tab, and enter a title for this new catalog item. |
6. | Click Save to create the new catalog item. A message appears stating that a catalog item has been created. |
Note:Until you enter settings and click Save, only the General tab of the New Catalog Item Properties dialog box is enabled.
