Support for Jamf Pro Authentication via Bearer Token

Jamf have announced plans to discontinue the support for Basic Authentication for the Classic API in an upcoming release of Jamf Pro.

In line with these changes, and as part of our continued commitment to support key vendors such as Jamf, we are releasing this service pack for App Portal / App Broker 2022 R1. App Portal / App Broker 2022 R1 SP1 will allow authentication via the Bearer Token.

In App Portal, administrators can now configure the connection to Jamf Pro using the Bearer Token authentication (if planning to use Jamf Pro v10.35.0 or later) and can retain the Basic authentication (if planning to use Jamf Pro v10.34.0 or earlier).

Note:If you are planning to fall back to Basic Authentication instead of Bearer Type (which is the default when Service Pack 1 is applied on top of App Portal 2022 R1), please update the configuration by selecting the Basic from the Authentication Type drop down.
