Upgrading to App Portal / App Broker 2022 R1 SP1
When upgrading an existing version of App Portal to App Portal 2022 R1 SP1, it is very important that you review the following information before you begin the upgrade.
Note:If you later choose to uninstall App Portal, remember to uninstall the Service Pack first.
Supported Upgrade Versions
You can only upgrade to App Portal / App Broker 2022 R1 SP1 from the following previous versions:
To upgrade, use the App Portal / App Broker 2022 R1 SP1 installer, which can be downloaded from the Flexera Software Product and License Center.
Planning Your Upgrade
When performing your upgrade to App Portal / App Broker 2022 R1 SP1, it is recommended that you include the following steps in your upgrade process:

Review the Release Notes—Thoroughly review this document, the App Portal 2022 R1 SP1 Release Notes. |

Backup your database—Prior to upgrading, you need to back up your existing App Portal database. It will not be backed up automatically by the installer. |
Applying Service Pack 1 to App Portal / App Broker 2022 R1
To apply the App Portal / App Broker 2022 R1 Service Pack 1 to an installation of App Portal / App Broker 2022 R1, perform these steps:

Log on to the Flexera Software Product and License Center and download the following file:
AppPortal_2022_R1_SP1.exe |

2.
|
Copy this file to the machine where App Portal 2022 R1 is installed. |

3.
|
Double-click on the file to launch the installer. The Welcome panel of the App Portal 2022 R1 SP1 wizard opens. |
|
4.
|
A message box opens and states that a previous installation of App Portal 2022 R1 was detected. |
|
5.
|
Click OK to close the message box. The Next button on the wizard is enabled. |
|
6.
|
Click Next. The Release Notes panel of the wizard opens. This panel lists the features in this Service Pack. |
|
7.
|
Click Next. The Ready to Install the Program panel opens. |
|
8.
|
Click Install. Progress messages are displayed while the Service Pack is installed. When installation is complete, the InstallShield Wizard Completed panel opens. |
