Ability to Rerun the Failed Uninstall Reclamation Alerts without Manual Interventions
To detect failed uninstallations and rerun the reclamation alerts in intervals to ensure the software is uninstalled and will avoid the manual intervention of rerunning the reclamation alerts:
• | When a request is submitted for uninstall through MyApps, and the uninstallation fails after 168 hours (default) of waiting, we change the request status to failure. |
• | During the update status, we do check for the WD_Appsettings key called OnFailureReclamationDeleteMyAppsNotification. If this key is set to True, it deletes the generated alert for that machine, and in the next cycle, a new alert will be generated and processed. |
Note:By default, OnFailureReclamationDeleteMyAppsNotification key will be set to True.
