Identifying Existing Applications to Include in OS Deployment
File and usage evidence becomes important during an OS imaging process since it can be used to identify applications that are on an existing system and provide usage information so that the user or administrator is able to make a decision on whether that application should be included on a new or reimaged device.
File and usage evidence is available through integration with FlexNet Manager Suite (FNMS). In the event that an environment does not have FlexNet Manager Suite, then inventory records can be created in App Portal for each application needing to be discovered for the OSD process.
