Entering Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager Settings at Initial Start Up
To connect App Portal / App Broker to Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, you can, optionally, enter settings on the ConfigMgr tab of the Deployment Configuration screen which opens at initial start up after you have uploaded your license file.
Note:You can also specify Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager deployment settings at any time on the ConfigMgr tab of the Site Management > Settings > Deployment view.
To enter Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager connection settings upon initial start up of App Portal / App Broker, perform the following steps:

In the Central Site Server field, enter the machine name of the System Center Configuration Manager server. |

In the Central Site Database Server field, enter the machine name where the System Center Configuration Manager server database resides. |
|

In the Central Site Database Name field, enter the database name of the System Center Configuration Manager server database. |
|
5.
|
In the Central Site Code field, enter the site code of the System Center Configuration Manager server (in SITE_XXX format). |

Specify the User / Computer relationship that App Portal / App Broker needs to use by selecting one of the following options: |

Use SCCM last logon user—The user to computer relationship will use SMS last logon user. |
|
•
|
Use SCCM Primary Console Usage—Makes use of the System Center Configuration Manager / SMS SP3 feature of tracking login duration to determine primary machine usage |
|
•
|
Use AD Computer Managed By—Uses the AD Computer object “Managed By” attribute to determine the primary user of the computer. This setting requires inventory of the "ManagedBy" AD attribute in System Center Configuration Manager System Discovery. |

Use User Affinity—In System Center 2012 Configuration Manager, you can directly define the users for a computer and the computers for a user. The option could also be referred to as “Use System Center 2012 Configuration Manager user and device assignment”. |

Click Test to test the connection settings that are entered. |

Proceed with setting additional deployment technology settings on the other tabs of the Deployment Configuration screen, if desired. |

Click Next to continue. If you have entered connection settings for more than one deployment technology, the Syncing Configuration panel opens. |

From the Syncing Users list, select the deployment technology that App Portal / App Broker should use to sync users using built-in sync queries: |
Important:If you are going to specify a custom user sync connection string in the Custom User Sync Settings area of the Common tab of the Site Management > Settings > Deployment view, set this field to Not Defined.

From the Syncing Computers list, select the deployment technology that App Portal / App Broker should use to sync computers using built-in sync queries: |
Important:If you are going to specify a custom computer sync connection string in the Custom Computer Sync Settings area of the Common tab of the Site Management > Settings > Deployment view, set this field to Not Defined. For syncing users from Intune, Email or OnPremisesUserPrincipalName is mandatory.
