App Portal 2013 R2
App Portal logs activities in several locations. There is one log for the activities on the App Portal website, one log file for the App Portal web service, and multiple logs for the App Portal Windows service.

Handles the Collection Insert requests. The database is queried for new insert requests and the service will contact the primary site server via the App Portal Web Service. The corresponding log file on the primary site server is the ESDWebService.log file. |

Tracks general settings and actions for the App Portal Service. |

Tracks general settings and actions for the App Portal website. Startup errors or unhandled exceptions will be logged here. |

Handles the updating of inventory data from your deployment system. |

Handles the processing of lease end and license reclamation activities. |

Tracks the task of running the machine policy on the client. |

Tracks the task of rerunning advertisements on the client. |

Handles all the email notification processes for App Portal. |
|
|
Present only on servers with the App Portal Web Service, this log tracks the actual insertion process of a machine into a collection. |
