WOL Tab

App Portal 2013 R2

Note: Displayed when connected to a System Center Configuration Manager server.

Wake on LAN (WOL) is supported in App Portal to wake a machine. By default, App Portal will attempt to wake a computer if it is not online by sending a Subnet Broadcast WOL packet. Many networks do not support subnet broadcasting. In those cases we support the SCCM Companion product which uses a peer based WOL.

You specify WOL settings on the WOL tab of the Settings view, which is opened by selecting Settings under Site Management on the Admin tab.
