System Notifications are notifications that are used to communicate with the users. They can be modified to suit your company’s language preferences and content.
You view and edit notifications on the Communication > Notifications view.
Enabling HTML Formatting of Email Communication
HTML formatting of email communication is only enabled if the HTML Email Format option is selected on the Email tab under Site Management > Settings.

Specifying Notification Language
App Portal provides a number of notification messages, in both email and web form, to communicate status and events within the software. These notification messages are customizable in content and language. A number of variables are provided that can be placed in most email templates to offer a wealth of information.
The notifications can be language specific. By default English is the primary language. You can add additional languages to App Portal from the Communication > Languages node.
The current language being edited is selected in the Select a language list on the Communication > Notifications view.

To edit a notification double click and use the HTML editor provided.

If you prefer your email format at text, select the “source” button on the toolbar to bring up the editor in source mode to remove the HTML markup:

Most notifications have recipient options to allow the CC and BCC of additional email addresses:

Specifying Conditions
Most notifications have a conditions option to filter the recipient against membership rules to determine whether the recipient should receive the notification. If a match is found against one of the conditions then the notification is not sent to the recipient. Recipients include both the requester and target user of the request.

In the above example if the target user or the requestor is in the DHCP Administrators Security Group, the notification will not be sent.
List of Notifications
On the Site Management > Communication > Notifications view, email templates are listed on four tabs, each listing alerts and notifications for different areas of the site.
