Information about the App Portal functionality available on the Site Management view of the Admin tab is organized in the following sections:

Site Management Views

View

Description

Admin Security

Use to add the groups and users to Admin roles for specific areas of App Portal manageability. This secures the site settings to those listed groups and users.

Catalog Security

Use to enable permissions to see and manage the App Portal catalog. You can add the necessary groups and users to Admin roles for specific areas of Catalog manageability. This secures the site catalogs to the listed groups and users.

Settings

Use to configure App Portal settings, including the App Portal website, deployment technology, Active Directory, and email settings.

Imported Users and Computers

View a list of the users, computers, and user-computer relationships that have been imported into App Portal.

Logs

View a list of various App Portal log files:

Error Log—View a list of all errors generated by the system.
Email Log—View a list of all emails that were sent to users, both those notifying the user of success and of failure.
Debug Log—Use to enable and view detailed log files which can be used to troubleshoot App Portal issues that are encountered.

Active Directory

Use to add properties, which determine the attributes that you want to utilize in App Portal approval, deployment, and provisioning processes. You can also use virtual properties to group similar properties together as a single logical name.

ITSM Integration

Use to configure out-of-the-box integration, via web services, with both ServiceNow and BMC Remedy IT Service Management (ITSM) systems. You can configure both incident and request management. You can also use App Portal’s built-in reusable framework to integrate with other ITSM systems.

Cloud Integration

Use to configure App Portal integration with cloud applications: Box, Salesforce, and Office 365.

Categories

Use to organize the following objects into the following types of categories: Catalog, Command, Inventory, Note, Purchase, and Report.

Commands and Actions

Use to add script, web service, and request commands. These commands can be executed against a selected machine from the support tools section in the software store or as part of a request at one or more stages during the request life cycle.

Communication

Manage email notifications (as well as other App Portal site content), license reclamation reasons, approve/reject reasons, languages, language text, and announcements.
