Configuring Active Directory Settings

App Portal / App Broker for ServiceNow 2016

You can perform Active Directory configuration activities using the Site Management > Active Directory portion of the App Portal interface.

Adding an Active Directory Forest
Performing Active Directory Property Mapping
Configuring Virtual Properties
Creating User Impersonation Accounts

Important • The system account credentials entered on the Site Management > Active Directory > Integration view are used to search for users and groups but are not used to add to an Active Directory group. Instead, the App Portal service account credentials, which are specified during installation, are used to add to an Active Directory group.

Note • In previous App Portal releases, you specified Active Directory settings on the Active Directory tab of the Site Management > Settings view, where you identified the server name or LDAP path to provide Global Catalog access for locating user objects for a single root forest. This functionality has been moved to the Site Management > Active Directory > Integration view.
