Accessing the Certificate Management Feature

Complete the following steps to access the certificate management feature and detailed information about the currently installed certificate.

To access the Credential Management feature:

1. Go to the appliance's configuration application.

Note:To access the FlexDeploy configuration interface, use port 8443. For example, enter https://flexdeploy.example.org:8443.

2. Sign in and access the Interfaces page.
3. Under the network interface configuration section is the Certificate Management button. Next to this button is a tag describing whether the default certificate (the self-signed automatically generated certificate), or a user supplied custom certificate is currently installed. Select the Certificate Management button. The Certificate Management page opens.
4. Go to the Currently Installed Certificate section and select the View Certificate button. Details include the identity of the issuing certificate and the identity of the server certificate.

Installing a Custom Certificate and Key

Complete the following steps to install a custom certificate and key and verify the installation configuration is correct.

To install a custom certificate and key:

1. Go to the appliance's configuration application.

Note:To access the FlexDeploy configuration interface, use port 8443. For example, enter https://flexdeploy.example.org:8443.

2. Sign in and access the Interfaces page.
3. Under the network interface configuration section, select the Certificate Management button. The Certificate Management page opens.
4. In the Install A Custom Certificate section:
a. Enter the necessary information for the following fields:
Server Name 
Certificate Chain 
Private Key.
b. Click Verify and Apply.
5. A dialog box opens with the options Verify and Apply.
a. To ensure the configuration is correct, select Verify to check the provided data for the Server Name, Certificate Chain, and Server Key. If the configuration does not pass the verification process, an error will be shown, and the certificate and key will not be installed.
b. When the configuration passes the verification process, select Apply to install the certificate and key on the system, and restart system services to begin using the new configuration.

Removing an Installed Custom Certificate

Complete the following steps to remove an installed custom certificate and roll back to the default certificate and key.

To remove an installed custom certificate:

1. Go to the appliance's configuration application.

Note:To access the FlexDeploy configuration interface, use port 8443. For example, enter https://flexdeploy.example.org:8443.

2. Sign in and access the Interfaces page.
3. Under the network interface configuration section, select the Certificate Management button. The Certificate Management page opens.
4. In the Roll Back to Default Certificate section, select the Roll Back To Default button. This selection removes the custom certificate and key from the appliance, installs the default certificate and key, and restarts the system services to use the default configuration.

Important:Once Roll Back To Default is selected, you will be asked to confirm whether you would like to proceed with the operation. Once completed, in order to return to a custom certificate it will need to be re-entered and installed.
