Distribution System Connections
Use this page to add, edit, view, and delete distribution system connections.
Add Connection
Note:This feature is available for MSI packages in Vendor Patch Module (VPM) patches.
Patch publishing functionality is integrated into SVM Cloud, allowing patches to be published directly to Intune.
Note:Note: This feature is supported for the Cloud connection.
To configure Intune connection details, perform the following steps.
| 1. | On Patching menu, click Distribution System Connections in the left pane. |
The Distribution System Connections page appears with connection details.
| 2. | Click Add Connection button. The Add Connection dialog box appears. |
| 3. | Use the following fields to add the Intune connection: |

Distribution System Type |
Click the Distribution System Type drop down and select Microsoft Intune from the list. |

Connection Name |
Enter name of the connection. |
|
Application (client) ID |
Enter the registered application (client) id. |
|
Directory (tenant) ID |
Enter the registered directory (tenant) id. |
|
Client Secret |
Enter client secret. |
|
App Category (Optional) |
Enter the application category. |
| 4. | Click the Test Connection button. |
| 5. | Click OK and confirm the popup to ensure the settings you entered can be used to successfully connect to this service. |
| 6. | Click Save Connection button. |
| 7. | Click OK and confirm the popup to create successful connection. |
| 8. | Upon successful action, the new connection details display in the grid. |
Edit Connection
Note:This feature is supported for the Cloud connection.
To modify connection details, perform the following steps.
| 1. | On Patching menu, click Distribution System Connections in the left pane. |
The Distribution System Connections page appears with connection details.
| 2. | Select the desired connection and click on Get Connections to get the connection details. |
| 3. | In the grid, right-click on the required connection, and select Edit Connection from the context menu. |
The Edit Connection dialog box appears.
| 4. | Modify as necessary and click Test Connection button to ensure the settings you entered and then click Update Connection button to update the modified changes. |
View Connection Details
To view connection details, perform the following steps.
| 1. | On Patching menu, click Distribution System Connections in the left pane. |
The Distribution System Connections page appears with connection details.
| 2. | Select the desired connection and click on Get Connections to get the connection details. |
| 3. | All available connections will be displayed in the grid. |
Delete Connections
To delete Distribution System connections, perform the following steps.
| 1. | On Patching menu, click Distribution System Connections in the left pane. |
The Distribution System Connections page appears with connection details.
| 2. | Select the desired connection and click on Delete button. |
| 3. | Select Yes or No to confirm whether or not to delete the connection. |
| 4. | Confirm the deletion by clicking Yes in the popup. |
To delete Independent connections, perform the following steps.
| 1. | On Patching menu, click Distribution System Connections in the left pane. |
The Distribution System Connections page appears with connection details.
| 2. | Select the desired connection and click on Get Connections to get the connection details. |
| 3. | In the grid, select the required independent connections that you want to delete. |
Note:You can select multiple connections (if required).
| 4. | Click the Delete Connections button. |
| 5. | Select Yes or No to confirm whether or not to delete the connection. |
| 6. | Confirm the deletion by clicking Yes in the popup. |
