DPFM-777 |
Data Platform can now process certain types of data sources concurrently. This accelerates the data processing, specifically in the import and mapping phases, for large inventories consisting of multiple processes. This behavior is controlled by two new parameters in the Norm.Configuration.config file: ParallelImportCount and ParallelMappingCount. The default setting for both of these parameters preserves the existing behavior: 1. Customers can increase the setting values to speed up data processing in the import and mapping phases. Important:Increasing the setting values of these parameters will significantly increase CPU and I/O demands in your Data Platform environment. Consult your system management team when considering changes to these parameters to avoid introducing unanticipated performance issues. This enhancement is currently limited to RDBMS-based IT inventory and mashup sources. Future enhancements may add additional sources—such as API data sources. |
