With this release (both the patch and the full installer) Data Platform requires version 4.8 of the .NET Framework. The .NET framework has been added as an offline prerequisite as a result.

Updates to Data Platform version 5.5.78 can fail if your Data Platform instance is running on older versions of Windows Server unless .NET 4.8 is installed prior to running the patch/installer.

Data Platform had formerly listed a collection of Microsoft SQL Server components as offline prerequisites. These were prerequisites because they are instrumental for connecting with Microsoft SQL environments. Data Platform now ships with the requisite components to connect with MS SQL Server environments.

As of Data Platform version 5.5.78, the Microsoft SQL Server components previously listed as offline prerequisites are now embedded in the Data Platform installer and deployment is managed by the installer. After upgrading to the latest version, customers will no longer need to download and transfer the Microsoft SQL Server components when installing onto a machine without Internet access.

Description

DPFM-1379

Fixed an issue in which a new Publish schema was being erroneously created during execution.

This issue arose due to use of existing Publish database objects. Now existing objects are used only when Analyze objects are available; otherwise, the logic creates a new Publish schema during execution.

Data Platform and User Console

DPFM-1357

Resolved an issue with the Jamf API Extractor where devices that were removed during a certain phase of the Inventory import would cause the job to fail. Now, those removed devices are skipped.

Data Platform

DPFM-1239

Fixed an issue where a Normalize process against a spreadsheet would fail after upgrading to 5.5.76.

Data Platform

DPFM-1236

Fixed an issue where SAML, LDAP and CAC authentication could fail if the user had a large number of groups assigned to them.

Data Platform and User Console

Data Platform and User Console

DPFM-1233

Data Platform and User Console

DPFM-1225

Fixed a bug where SAML authentication for the User Console could fail under some conditions due to a missing policy configuration.

User Console

DPFM-1214

During the start-up of the application, a failure to retrieve credentials from CyberArk would cause the service to unexpectedly crash. This has been resolved.

Data Platform and User Console

DPFM-1049

Data Platform

DPFM-1029

Improved logging during the setup process to log any errors related to a failed Activation step.

DPFM-879

If the User Console was activated to Data Platform using an IP Address instead of a hostname. an issue could cause functionality that depends on one or more Data Platform APIs to fail. This issue has been corrected.
