Multiple Parent Domains
It is possible to designate multiple domains as a parent, each with their own list of children, but consider the following:
•
Unassigned domains and parent domains without children assigned are treated the same, and no normalization will be done for these domains. |
•
Setting up domain parent-child relationships will affect newly ingested HR roster data, but they will not affect existing HR roster data. |
In this example, we have the following domain assignments in the Assigned Domains panel:
•
Parent Domain 1 = my-company.com |
•
Child Domain 1 = my-company.eu |
•
Parent Domain 2 = my-org.com |
•
Child Domain 2 = my.company.na |
When Flexera One ingests your organization's HR roster data, the following email addresses are retrieved for the person Joe:
Using the domain assignments listed above, two unique persons will be created for Joe:
•
One person with the primary email address joe@my-company.com and an email alias joe@my-company.eu |
•
Another person with the primary email address joe@my-org.com and the email alias joe@my-company.na |
