The By Manufacturer report page provides detailed information on the cloud spend broken down by software manufacturer.

Reading the report

The following values and key performance indicator (KPI) visuals are available for each software manufacturer.

Note:All spend data is based on the date range selected from the date filters. You can also filter data by cloud vendor and cost center, as well as choose the currency for displaying spend and savings values. For more information, see Viewing the Software Insights and Spend Optimization Report.

 

Value or KPI Visual	Description
Software & Compute Spend	The total cloud spend on this manufacturer, including the cloud software spend and compute spend. The broken-down spend in each supported cloud provider is also displayed.
Software Spend	The PAYG software spend on this manufacturer.
Potential Savings	The potential savings on this manufacturer over the last 30 days if the PAYG software had been replaced with BYOL software, based on your IT Asset Management license entitlements.

You can right-click on a manufacturer tile and select Drill through > Manufacturer Details to drill through to the following additional information for the selected manufacturer:

Value or KPI Visual	Description
Realized Savings	The actual savings on this manufacturer over the last 30 days.
Software and Compute Spend by Date	An area chart that shows the historical data of cloud software and compute spend on this manufacturer by date.
Software Spend by Product	A pie chart that shows the PAYG spend on this manufacturer by software product, such as Windows Server, SQL Server Standard, and so on.
Operating System	Detailed information about the cloud spend on the operating system products from this manufacturer. The following information is displayed for each operating system product: • Total Software & Compute Spend • The broken-down spend in each supported cloud provider • Software Spend • Last 30 Days Potential Savings You can click on an operating system tile and select Drill through > Product Details to drill into to the product details of the operating system. Databases	Detailed information about the cloud spend on the database products from this manufacturer. The following information is displayed for each database product: • Total Software & Compute Spend • The broken-down spend in each supported cloud provider • Software Spend • Last 30 Days Potential Savings You can click on a database tile and select Drill through > Product Details to drill into to the product details of the database.
