IIS Application Pools

The following applications pools are used for communications between the central application server for IT Asset Management and the inventory beacon:

On the inventory server (or, in smaller implementations, the server hosting this functionality):

Flexera Importers is used by the inventory beacon to upload inventory files

•

Flexera Package Repository is used by the inventory beacons to download packages for self update, and for installation of the Inventory Agent

On the batch server (or, in smaller implementations, the server hosting this functionality):

•

Flexera Beacon is the application pool used for downloading policy files (for the rules that the inventory beacon must apply).
