License Type

The kind of license, which determines what properties are available for the license, and how compliance is calculated for the license.

The license type is determined when the license is created. You can edit it by choosing a different value from the License type drop-down list. Since the license type determines the available properties, a confirmation dialog appears, listing some of the possible consequences. You may Cancel the change, or click Save to proceed. The license properties sheet is then reloaded with the appropriate properties.
