Working With the Contextual Data Store API
Note:
There are two types of sources of contextualization for “Data Mashups”:
• | Device Contextualization |
• | Software Contextualization |
For both source types, the data brought in should be matched with an existing field or set of fields used to ensure an accurate match is found.
The data being brought in for contextualization (data mashup) for devices must be matched either by HardwareID or by a combination of Name, Domain, and SerialNumber:
• | HardwareID |
or
• | Name |
• | Domain |
Note:Domain can be left blank if that is how the matching device is configured in the platform.
• | SerialNumber |
Note:For more information on Device Contextualization fields, see Device mashup in developer.flexera.com.
The data being brought in for contextualization (data mashup) for software must be matched by either TechnopediaGUID or TechnopediaLegacyID:
• | TechnopediaGUID |
or
• | TechnopediaLegacyID |
Note:For more information on Software Contextualization fields, see Software mashup in developer.flexera.com.
