Identifying Devices Using Evidence

IT Visibility uses evidence information to identify devices within your enterprise. The evidence information is collected as a part of the inventory collection process.

You can see all your discovered devices aligned with normalized results, where applicable, on the Devices page (Inventory > IT Visibility Devices > Devices).

This data can help you understand what happens between your devices and the normalization results and see what software is installed on each device.

On this page, you can view the following information:

The overall evidence counts for the following types of Recognition Status:
Devices is a count of all devices regardless of their Recognition Status.
Active is a count of active devices. This is the default view for the Device Evidence page.
Ignored is a count of ignored devices.
Detailed properties of each device. You can search for devices by using the global search box or the filter in each property column. You can also sort the devices by properties.

The following table lists all the available properties. Some properties are displayed by default and others can be displayed through the column chooser. To open the column chooser, click the icon. You can also export all these details in the CSV format.
