Editing a Custom Report
Note:
Important:The Manage custom reports role is required to edit a custom report. For complete descriptions of each role available in Flexera One, see Flexera One Roles.
You can edit an existing custom report including the visualization type, filters applied, and so on.
To edit an existing custom report:
| 1. | Go to the Dashboards page from one of the following menus: |
| • | Dashboards > Technology Intelligence Reports > Custom Reports |
| • | IT Visibility > Technology Intelligence Reports > Custom Reports |
By default, reports are grouped by type, such as Hardware, Software, and Vulnerabilities.
| 2. | Click the expand icon next to the group type to view the list of reports. |
| 3. | To open a report, do one of the following: |
| • | Use the filter controls to search for the report. Click the report name to open the report. Click Manage in the upper-right corner of the page, and then select Edit Mode. |
| • | Locate the report and click the Edit button in the report row. Hover over the button icon to view the button name. |
| • | Locate the report and click the report name. Click Manage in the upper-right corner of the page, and then select Edit Mode. |
The selected report opens in an editable mode.
| 4. | Edit the report details as required. |
Note:If a visual fails to generate or is not rendered due to exceeding the one-million row limit, check the fields used to create that visual or filter your search to narrow down the data accordingly. For information, see Working With Measures.
| 5. | Click the Save this report button in the upper-right corner of the report. Hover over the button icon to view the button name. |
To view the updated report, in the upper-left corner of the page, click the Custom Reports link in the breadcrumb. The Dashboards page opens, listing the newly created report under the Custom Reports tab.
Autosave function
You can enable or disable autosave during report editing by using an Autosave toggle switch located above the Save this report button. The first interaction triggers an immediate save. Any subsequent changes within 15 seconds are consolidated to reduce unnecessary save calls.
Note:To ensure full user control, the autosave activates only when the user opts in.
Note:Due to the Power BI event trigger limitations, the autosave does not capture multiple visual selections in the Visualizations pane unless a data selection is made. All other changes—including filters, slicers, and single visual modifications—are captured by the autosave.
