Exporting Data
Version:If you are using a previous version of IT Visibility’s export feature, information in this section is not applicable to you. Instead, see Exporting Data Using a Previous Version of IT Visibility Export. To check whether you are using the latest or previous version, go to the Data Export page (IT Visibility > Data Exports). If you see two buttons for exporting—a Create Export button and a Create Export (Beta) button—you are using a previous version. If you only see the Create Export button, you are on the latest version. For related information, see Upgrading to the Latest Version of IT Visibility.
To navigate to the data export capability in IT Visibility, go to the Data Export page (IT Visibility > Data Exports). The Data Export page opens with a list of existing exports. This table is empty if no data export jobs have previously been executed. From this table you will be able to see for all exports:
•
ID—Unique identifier for the export job |
•
Requested—Date and time that the export was initiated |
•
Requested By—Flexera One login ID of the user who initiated the export job |
•
Status—Status of the export job such as Calculating, In Progress, Completed, Failed, and Stopped |

Only one export job can be run at a time. Clicking Create Export while another export is still in progress displays the following warning message: “Warning! An export is already in progress. Creating a new export will stop the existing report. Do you wish to proceed?” Click Stop to stop the running job and start a new job or click No to stop the new export. |
After an export job runs, the Status column on the Data Export page will update to show the progress of the job. The job will first run a calculation to establish the size of the export before proceeding to export the data. After the export is in progress, the status will show an estimated time to complete the job.
