Forecast

The Forecast report page includes the following:

Forecast Emissions shows your projected carbon forecast (budget) in metric tons of CO2e (mtCO2e).
Actual Emissions shows your actual carbon emissions (spend) in metric tons of CO2e (mtCO2e).
Forecast Variance highlights whether your organization is currently operating over or under your budgeted emissions and indicates the percent above or below your emissions forecast. A positive variance indicates that your organization is over budget (action required). A negative variance indicates your organization is under budget (performing well). And a zero variance means you are on target (continue to monitor).

Note:The Forecast Variance is calculated as ((Actual Emissions - Forecast Emissions)/Forecast Emissions)*100.

Actual, Forecast, Upper and Lower Bound shows historical and projected emissions with confidence intervals to chart your carbon cashflow forecast. To understand the chart:
Blue line (Actual) shows historical emissions and represents what your organization has actually spent on carbon emissions from its cloud use.
Orange line (Forecast) shows projected emissions and represents your carbon budget.
Grey bands denote the confidence interval around your forecast; it represents the range of likely outcomes.
Cumulative Actual and Forecast Emissions shows a running total over time. In this chart, the actual line flattens when data ends (present day) while the forecast line continues showing projected totals.
Actual and Forecast Emissions shows a direct comparison of monthly emissions versus forecast. This enables you to identify the months in which your organization’s emissions exceeded or fell short of expectations.
Cloud Carbon Forecast by Source provides a granular view into your organization’s carbon emissions across multiple dimensions: cloud vendor, region, category, and resource type. For each month, this table shows the actual, forecast, and variance for your organizations carbon emissions in metric tons of CO2e (mtCO2e).

Tip:The Forecast report can be filtered via the Show Filters/Hide Filters toggle. Filters available include cloud vendor, region, category, and resource type.

Detailed

The Detailed report page is a tabular view of your cloud sustainability data. It shows combined data for all cloud service providers at each resource level. This data provides detailed information related to each individual resource of carbon infrastructure.
