Viewing Microsoft Azure Reservations

In Cloud Cost Optimization, you can view Microsoft Azure Reservations by:

Total Active Microsoft Azure Reservations
Microsoft Azure Reservation Event Date and Term
Newly Purchased Microsoft Azure Reservations.

Total Active Microsoft Azure Reservations

You can view the total active Azure Reservations purchased across an organization.

To view the total active Microsoft Azure Reservations purchased across an organization:

1. Go to the Reserved Instances page (Cloud > Cost Optimization > Reserved Instances).
2. Click the Microsoft Azure tab.
3. Click the Columns button and select the checkboxes next to the following column names. Hover over the button icon to view the button name.
a. Event Date—Date of the most recent payment
b. Event Type—Purchase (most recent purchase)
c. Term—Commitment term is either 1 year or 3 years.

Microsoft Azure Reservation Event Date and Term

You can view Azure Reservation event date and term to determine when Reservation needs to be replaced.

To view Azure Reservation event date and term to determine when Reservation needs to be replaced:

1. Go to the Reserved Instances page (Cloud > Cost Optimization > Reserved Instances).
2. Click the Microsoft Azure tab.
3. Click the Columns button and select the checkboxes next to the following column names. Hover over the button icon to view the button name.
a. Event Date—Date of the most recent payment
b. Term—Commitment term is either 1 year or 3 years
c. Expiration Date—Date the Reservation needs to be replaced based on the Event Date and Term.

Note:The time stamp following the Event Date and Expiration Date (For example, 2020-03-19T16:16:22Z where T and Z enclose the time stamp) is based on Microsoft Azure’s format.

Newly Purchased Microsoft Azure Reservations

You can view any newly purchased Azure Reservation to confirm a planned purchase went through or to notice if someone purchased Reservations without your knowledge or permission.

To view any newly purchased Azure Reservation to confirm a planned purchase went through or to notice if someone purchased Reservation without your knowledge or permission:

1. Go to the Reserved Instances page (Cloud > Cost Optimization > Reserved Instances).
2. Click the Microsoft Azure tab.
3. Click the Columns button and select the checkboxes next to the following column names. Hover over the button icon to view the button name.
a. Amount Paid—The amount paid for the transaction
b. Currency—The currency the amount was paid in
c. Event Date—The date of the most recent payment
d. Reservation Order ID—Microsoft Azure’s unique identifier for a reservation transaction. Each reservation order ID represents a single transaction. A reservation order contains reservations. The reservation order specifies the Virtual Machine size and region for the reservations.
e. Reservation Order Name—The friendly name of the reservation order
f. Cost Center—The cost center associated with the purchasing subscription.
