Creating and Saving a New SBOM Parts Search

Use this procedure to define and save a new search for SBOM parts (and optionally run the search). Saving the search enables you to reuse it as needed to stay current with the information about parts that are of most interest to you.

To define and save (and optionally run) a new advanced search for SBOM parts:

1.

Access the Advanced SBOM Parts Search slideout, using the instructions in Getting Started with an SBOM Parts Search.

On the Advanced SBOM Parts Search slideout, do one of the following:

Define the criteria for your search from scratch (without selecting an existing search from the Searches dropdown list.)

•

Select an existing search from the Searches dropdown list as a basis for the new search and update the criteria as needed.

Note:You can always click Clear Form to remove existing criteria and enter all new values.

Click Save to open the Save Search pop-up.

Enter a new unique name for the search in the Name field, and click Save.

You are returned to the Advanced SBOM Parts Search slideout.

(Optional) Select the new search from the Searches dropdown list, and click Search.

The Manage SBOM Parts page is automatically refreshed to show the results of the new search. From here, you can continue with step 3 in the previous “Viewing SBOM Parts” topic to explore details about the SBOM parts.
